I've been writing very well lately, doing my 500 words a day, plus. But tonight Jonathan has his music blaring, subwoofer shaking, and I'm sick of not being able to hear myself think. He's cleaning his room which apparently he can't do without the music. (But at least he's cleaning his room) Did I just say that? Hopefully he'll be finished soon and then I'll get into the next 500 words as long as it doesn't get too late too soon.
I have a few things on the burner. Perhaps I should try writing more than one thing at once. I can read like that, but I'm not sure how it work to write like that. I suppose i should try seeing as i have a number of projects that i would someday like to realize. And if i let them go for too long i may not be able to hold on the the concepts of each, at least not strong enough to be able to write the books.
Perhaps I'll try. 500 words is 500 words. And look! I'm even writing here! (Just kidding, i won't count these)
Later....

Okay...I'm back and my bells are on.
I've been hard at work. I've really gotten into a roll here. I've set up my son's old laptop in my bedroom so that when the world is too hectic i can go in there, close the door and shut out all the teenager noise to write my book (with teenagers as the characters...how coincidental is that for god's sake!) And I've set myself a goal of 500 words minimum per day. So far, except for the occasional day that is just TOO full of everything else that i'm responsible for, i've been able to keep up the forward motion, and it's working out. I'm in Rhiannon's head now, and i think i can see what makes her tick....but like a train, i've got to keep up the forward motion.
The art exhibit got in my way for a while, and art will always be just as important, running side by side with the writing, but that is just my all over the place kind of personality. And instead of fighting that part of me, i'm going to embrace it and follow the path it hacks for me.
